Park Cleanup - 68th Street Wetlands

Join us for the 6th annual park cleanup event on Saturday, May 2nd from 9:30am - Noon at the 68th Street Wetlands. This important area is home to many Calgary birds who use it to raise their young, making it a critical location to maintain.

During the event, volunteers will work together to clean up litter and debris, removing harmful items that can threaten the health of the wetlands' wildlife. All necessary supplies will be provided, including gloves and garbage bags.

This is a great opportunity for individuals, families, and community groups to come together to support the environment and make a positive impact in their community. Join us at the 68th Street Wetlands on May 6th to help keep this important natural area clean and healthy for generations to come!

Notes about the event:

• The pathways are flat but we will be going off trail. If you have mobility issues please let us know so that we can assign you a section that is largely on the pathway.
• Dogs are not allowed at the event unless medically necessary. This helps ensure the safety and comfort of the wildlife
• The event is LGBTQ+ friendly, welcoming people of all orientations and identities.
