Hide: a manuscript

You are hereby invited to the launch of HIDE, an illuminated verse-narrative chapbook written and illustrated by Rebecca Hawkes.
Enter a realm of devotion and transgression, evoking histories of book-making and the stories skins might tell. This launch will open with a hybrid performance of poetry and melody, with cellist Emily Winter summoning Medieval music for lambskin slinks and kisses stolen under eclipses.
This new offering from Ōtautahi’s own small press ngā pukapuka pekapeka offers reverence for the fragility of life, predicaments of faith, and the endurance of art.
