Restorative yoga is a nurturing, gentle form of yoga that is a slower, more restful practice that brings relaxation and calm to both the body and the mind. Using yoga accessories such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks to prop the body allows us to soften in the poses and aim for complete relaxation of the muscles.

Our focus will be on stretches + Restorative Yoga poses that open the chest and neck to help expand the chest muscles allowing for increased oxygen intake + deeper breaths, strengthening the upper back + shoulder muscles to aid in less tension, reduce cortisol + stress levels, and clear the heart chakra (Anahata) of negative energy, blocked emotions + allow room for more self love.
Once the body is completely relaxed, we can focus on the breath to help calm the mind. We will also incorporate very slow, micro movement somatic exercises to help re-educate our brain to create a healthier movement pattern while focusing internally on how the body responds. Minimum of 3 participants to hold class at this location.
