Meditation is an amazing tool to help regulate the nervous system. Regulation helps us to be able to take our body out of fight or flight so that our nervous system can activate the rest and digest. Slow, relaxing practices can be so incredibly healing. Guided meditation is a practice where the teacher guides you by voice through the steps of meditation. Guided meditations can include body scans, breathing exercises, and mental visualizations. Meditation typically transitions into phases starting with relaxation of the body, noticing the breath, practicing concentration, and acknowledging your wandering thoughts.
We will then transition to Yoga Nidra to encourage deep relaxation and end with bringing yourself back to your body, reawakening your senses, and reflecting on how the practices benefited your mind and body. Minimum of 3 participants to hold this class at this location.
