Hands-On Peace Day Celebration

The theme for the United Nations' International Day of Peace is "Invest in Peace: With Everyone, Every Day, Everywhere. For our 5th annual celebration of this important holiday, we are excited to devote time and energy to Abara - one of the most inspiring peace-building initiatives in our nation. When you go to the registration link, https://www.unitythroughcreativity.org/peace-day-reg, you'll see three areas of work - the Patio Area, the Future Reflective Garden Area and Indoors. Please check all that you'd like to participate in. We'd like to get an idea of the distribution of interest. We'll be coming together at the beginning and end of the day, learning more about the vision of Abara, centering, singing, and working. Lunch will be provided by Chef Chato Catering. A limit of 40 people can participate in the 9:00 am to 5:00 pm hands-on day. 15 youth will be joining us from Reconnecting with the Disconnected and The El Paso Youth Environmental Ambassadors, initiatives of Samantha Recker. There will be a Peace Party from 5:30 to 7:30 which is open to the public.
