Location: Rio Bosque Wetlands Park
Together, we will explore and learn about Rio Bosque through our Jr. Explorer Program! We will have three fun stations where kids can learn about bugs, enjoy beginner-friendly birding using a bird scavenger hunt guide, and explore the wonders of aquatic insects while drawing their findings. In collaboration with Friends of Rio Bosque.
Distance: .5 miles
Duration: ~2.5 hours
Difficulty: Easy
Best for: Kids under 12
IMPORTANT: Parents are required to stay for the duration of the activities.
Requirements & What to Bring
- 3-4 liters of water
- Healthy snacks or energy bars
- Hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers
- Binoculars
- Light jacket and small backpack
