Coming to Roost: Crow Watching at Rio Bosque

Meet up location: Rio Bosque Park Visitor Center
On this easy hike around the Rio Bosque, we will watch the crows and ravens come to roost. Thousands of these birds take refuge at the Bosque each winter. We will walk to a good viewing location about a mile in, where you will be free to enjoy the M**der rolling in. Once it gets dark, we will head back to our cars. In collaboration with El Paso Feminist Bird Club.
Distance: 2 miles
Duration: ~2.5hours
Difficulty: Easy
Best for: All ages
IMPORTANT: It is a walk out to the viewing spot, so only bring what you are happy to carry.
Requirements & What to Bring
- 3-4 liters of water
- Healthy snacks or energy bars
- Hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers
- Flashlight or headlamp
- Binoculars and a folding chair
- Light jacket and small backpack
