Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust are hosting a joint event with C&Hair to unpack your questions about hair care, hair loss and cancer.

C&Hair is a service providing support and guidance to people with Afro-textured hair who are facing hair loss due to cancer treatment.

Join us on Saturday 23 November 2024 ,12.30 – 2.30pm at Lewisham CommUNITY Space, Unit 17, Lewisham Shopping Centre, Molesworth Street, London SE13 7HB for an enlightening and entertaining event covering:

• Myths about cancer
• Cancer prevention, early detection and treatment options
• The challenges and triumphs of dealing with cancer-related hair loss, with a focus on afro-textured hair, wigs and styling
• Recent studies linking the use of hair products to cancer

You will also be able to find out:

• How patients can contribute to research and clinical trials designed to combat cancer
• Information about cancer and the support offered by our Trust
• Ways to reduce hair loss using scalp cooling during chemotherapy

Admission is free. Refreshments will be provided on arrival and a buffet of Carribean food will be served.
