Tired of unfulfilling conversations and unsatisfying connections?

Authentic Relating is a relational practice that offers skills and experiences to create enriching and nourishing relationships across all social domains of life. It allows people to explore the extraordinary landscape of human connection in a supportive and safe environment.

These intimate events offers you the opportunity to explore the realm of connection and what may be holding you back. We aim to find comfort in the discomfort of relational dynamics and hope to create profound, meaningful connections with ourselves and others.

Why Join Us?

By engaging in authentic relating, we gain insights into our patterns of connecting with others, enhance communication skills, and strengthen our ability to navigate relationships with greater openness, honesty, and understanding.

Ultimately, Authentic Relating nurtures meaningful relationships, deepens self-awareness, and supports personal growth in a safe and respectful environment.

The Bonnington Centre

In the heart of Vauxhall and 7 mins walk from the train station, we have chosen this great venue due to its bright, warm and open atmosphere. By hosting intimate groups in a large space it gives us the freedom to really play with the environment during our activities and games.

What to Expect?

Each session is different but the focus is the same, to connect with ourselves and others in a deep and Authentic way. We'll do this through games, activities and conversations designed to aid us in noticing our internal world, the complex dimension of the other and facilitate sharing this with others in a honest and vulnerable way.

Through our practices we will be working in pairs, small groups and as a full circle to really explore the challenges and benefits to these dynamics as Authentic Relating is for all relationships in life whether, romantic, professional, friendships, family and most importantly ourselves.

There will also be time for tea and casual chats along the way.

Benefits

  • Develop confidence in your internal world
  • Discover communication skills you never knew you had
  • Learn to sit with discomfort to go deeper with connections
  • Find that meaningful relationships can be fun and effortless
  • Explore the opportunity to truly be yourself with others
  • Use connection as the remedy for social anxiety

Is this Suitable for you?

Our sessions are perfect for either the experienced or if you brand new to Authentic Relating however the process can be emotionally intense. It is a daring practice that requires courage to meet what is within us and the other and explore sharing this through conversation.

The sessions can be challenging, people experience emotions, states and sensations that can be unfamiliar.

As we aim to explore the boundaries of discomfort and we explore emotions that sometimes we avoid in daily life and this can be difficult for some to experience.

We provide a safe environment to do this, by safe we mean a space where everyone can feel confident they won’t face discrimination, criticism, harassment, or harm, and will be treated with respect and warmth. Here, you can share your feelings openly and be vulnerable without fear of judgment or blame.

If the above description of our workshops sounds potentially overwhelming or destabilising for you, if you have a mental illness or significant emotional challenges that you feel may be exacerbated by this type of transformational environment, or if you are not sure that you can be self-directed in taking care of your needs during the event, then we advise you not to enrol.

Starting Right

As these are emotional workshops we advise to arrive 10 mins early to avoid rushing and disruptions to the beginning of the session.
