Korean culture is the hot topic right now, from K-Pop and Korean dramas to the excitement surrounding films like "K-Pop Demon Hunters." This special program offers a chance to go beyond the screen and explore the rich traditions and history that continue to shape Korea today!
Join us as we welcome the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project (KSCPP) for a free, hands-on cultural workshop where participants will create a beautiful Korean lotus flower lantern using colorful paper and a traditional wireframe design. Along the way, attendees will learn about Korea’s history, cultural values, and unique heritage, followed by a short documentary film about modern Korea.
The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of Korean history and culture. In appreciation for the United States’ support during the Korean War and in the years that followed, KSCPP has presented more than 2,800 educational programs throughout the United States and over 14,000 events internationally.
This program is free, open to all ages, all materials are provided, and registration is required: To RSVP, please either call Main Circulation at 203-468-3890 or email Cynthia, Hagaman Library's Community Services Librarian, at [email protected].
