Celebrate Summerween with Hagaman Library for FREE during The Ultimate DIY Afternoon on Saturday, June 20th at 2pm in the DeMayo Room as we welcome Mary Rauber of M.MoonChild Scented Creations LLC and Jamie Trantum of Seymour Blank Canvas for a hands-on creative experience where you’ll spend the afternoon making something entirely your own.
Mary Rauber is the founder of M. MoonChild Scented Creations LLC, where she creates small-batch soy candles designed to bring warmth, comfort, and a touch of artistry into everyday spaces. Her work blends thoughtful scent selection with simple, beautiful presentation.
Jamie Trantum of Seymour Blank Canvas is a local artist and creative facilitator who focuses on accessible, expressive art experiences. She specializes in helping participants explore color, pattern, and design in a relaxed, judgment-free way.
Together, they’ll guide you through creating two 2oz soy candles, where you’ll choose your own scents and finish each one with dried florals and a bit of sparkle, as well as a custom tie-dye tea towel designed with your own color choices and pattern style. No experience is needed: Just come ready to experiment, unwind, and have fun creating!
