About the Preserve: Dr. Robert H. Gore III Preserve is a remote, yet urban preserve, once home to Dr. Gore - a scientist, author, poet, and more. The preserve offers a peaceful trail through oak hammocks, fern forests, cypress stands, and more. Look up! Swallow-tailed kites can be seen nesting here. Look down! Bear tracks are common. The trail has areas of difficult, bumpy terrain - not suitable for some.
