š¶ Matt Venuti is a multi-instrumentalist known for his original music and ground-breaking acoustic and electronic instruments that he was among the first to bring to the stage. He's toured the country many times, performing in theaters, listening clubs, art centers and cultural institutions, colleges, festivals, as well as high profile events such as TED and TEDx conferences.
š The AmeriCosmos Experience features Matt creating a mostly improvised live music "soundtrack" that accompanies stunning nature visuals that he's captured throughout the US, and when he was Artist in Residence for some of our greatest National Parks. With the addition of awe-inspiring footage from Space, AmeriCosmos has been lauded by critics and fans as an inspiring, original and unforgettable experience.
š With lush arrangements, percussively intricate grooves and soaring and gorgeous melodies, Matt masterfully engages with up to 12 different instruments with the addition of a looping device to compose an improvised soundtrack as the video plays. Don't miss this critically acclaimed performance that has enraptured audiences in theaters, planetariums, art centers and a diverse range of venues nationwide.
š± Make a night of it! Come early and enjoy pre-show hors d'oeuvres and complimentary drink provided by Higher Grounds in the courtyard. Pre-show cocktail hour starts at 6:00pm ($20, includes food & complimentary drink), with the performer taking the stage in the sanctuary at 7:00pm ($20 pre-purchase online, $30 at the door). This is a one-act show with no intermission.
