Groovin' High- an illustrated history of Jazz

“East Meon Arts” presents a concert/talk by Saxophonist and East Meon resident , Kati Whitaker on the history of jazz illustrated by live examples of different genres of jazz. She charts the development of this hard to define phenomenon from its early roots in the African American communities of New Orleans , through swing and dance music ,onto the revolutionary cool jazz of the likes of Miles Davis right to the genre busting fusion and classical crossover styles of today’s new music.
