Gratitude Within: An Embodied Meditation Circle
About this Event
After the gathering, the giving, and the busyness of Thanksgiving, take a little time to come home to yourself.
Gratitude Within is a special Embodied Meditation Circle inviting you to pause, soften, and experience gratitude through your body, breath, and heart.
Gratitude can be found in simple things: the breath that sustains you, the body that carries you, a moment of connection, or the quiet strength that has helped you through a challenging year. This circle offers space to notice what nourishes you—and to receive some care yourself.
Led by Cherie Clark-Moore, Master Healer and Senior Body & Brain Instructor, this gentle experience combines movement, acupressure tapping, energy awareness, and guided meditation. Meditation is more than stopping your thoughts; it can begin with listening to your body and allowing yourself to be present.
Together, we’ll explore:
- Opening connection and reflection: Share what brings you to the circle and consider what you would like to welcome into your life.
- Gentle stretching and movement: Ease into the practice with shoulder rolls, hip circles, and simple movements to loosen physical tension.
- Acupressure tapping: Gently tap the head, temples, jaw, and chest to bring awareness into the body and invite relaxation.
- Heart-centered gratitude: Turn your attention inward toward your True Self, with space to appreciate yourself as well as the people and experiences that support you.
- Energy awareness meditation: Explore jigam, a gentle practice using your hands to notice subtle sensations and settle into the present moment.
- Resting breath meditation: Lie down for a guided journey through the body, bringing kind attention to your breath and internal organs.
- Whole-body gratitude: Close with palms open, breathing with your whole body and allowing time to receive and integrate the experience.
You don’t need to arrive feeling grateful. Whether Thanksgiving leaves you feeling connected, tired, tender, or a little of everything, you are welcome here. Gratitude and difficult feelings can exist together. Sharing is always optional.
Come as you are, and give yourself this afternoon of rest, connection, and appreciation.
