A sacred womb circle for women and daughters 16+ to explore self-worth, inner knowing and the courage to trust their own voices.
About this Event

What if our daughters could learn—before the world tells them otherwise—that their worth does not need to be earned, proven or given to them by someone else?

Our Divine Daughters Womb Circle is a sacred gathering for women and daughters centered on self-worth, inner knowing and the courage to listen to the truth within.

Inspired by the story of St. Thecla in The Acts of Paul and Thecla and the themes explored in Meggan Watterson’s book The Girl Who Baptized Herself, this experience introduces us to a young woman who learns to trust her own inner authority—even when the people and expectations around her are calling her in another direction.

Thecla’s journey invites us to consider:

  • Who were we before the world told us who to be?
  • Which expectations have shaped the way we see ourselves?
  • What changes when we begin to trust our own voice?
  • How can we help the next generation recognize the worth that has always been within them?

What Is a Womb Circle?

A womb circle is an intentional space for women to slow down, turn inward and reconnect with the wisdom held within the body.

Within this circle, the womb is honored as both a physical and symbolic center of intuition, creativity, inner knowing and feminine lineage. It represents the place within us from which we create, choose, sense and remember who we are.

This experience is not centered on pregnancy, fertility or motherhood as a requirement. Every woman’s relationship with her body and womb is unique, and all women and daughters age 16 and older are welcome.

Through storytelling, guided reflection, meditation, shared conversation and meaningful ritual, participants will be invited to explore their relationship with self-worth, identity and inner truth.

The circle will include opportunities to:

  • Reflect on the messages that have shaped how we see ourselves
  • Recognize the difference between external expectations and inner knowing
  • Practice listening to and honoring our own truth
  • Explore the wisdom carried through the maternal line
  • Share meaningful words of affirmation and appreciation
  • Participate in a symbolic water ritual of self-blessing and renewal
  • Create a personal declaration of worth to take home
  • Explore the relationship between self-worth, the body and sexuality
  • Reflect on consent, personal boundaries and intimate relationships
  • Consider the emotional and energetic connections created through intimacy
  • Gently reconnect with the body and womb space

There will be time to reflect individually, connect with one another and be witnessed within the circle.

Come Together or Attend Individually

Mothers and daughters are warmly invited to attend together, but you do not need to come as a pair.

Women and daughters age 16 and older may also register individually. After all, each of us is a daughter—and each of us carries a relationship with the women, stories and expectations that came before us.

A mother or maternal figure may include a biological or adoptive mother, stepmother, grandmother, guardian, mentor or another woman who holds a meaningful maternal role in a daughter’s life.

A Welcoming Spiritual Experience

No particular religious or spiritual background is required.

The story of Thecla will be shared as a source of reflection on courage, self-trust, self-worth and inner authority. This experience is not a religious service or baptism.

You do not need to have read The Girl Who Baptized Herself before attending.

Mature Themes & Emotional Safety

As part of exploring self-worth and our relationship with the body, this circle will include gentle, age-appropriate conversation about mature themes.

Topics may include:

  • Honoring the body as sacred and worthy of respect
  • The relationship between self-worth, sexuality and personal choices
  • Bodily autonomy, consent and healthy boundaries
  • Sexual energy and the exchange that can occur through intimacy
  • The emotional and energetic connections—or cords—we may develop with intimate partners
  • Releasing connections or expectations that no longer support us

These subjects will be approached thoughtfully, respectfully and without explicit sexual content.

No participant will be asked to disclose personal sexual experiences. Sharing is always optional, and everyone is welcome to listen, reflect privately or pass on any activity or conversation.

This experience is intended for participants age 16 and older. Parents and legal guardians are encouraged to review this content note before registering anyone under 18.
