Come learn all about the endangered grasslands in the Weaselhead!
About this Event

We will start by heading along the top path of the grassland area. You’ll see vibrant patches of native Rough Fescue and Bunch grasses and compare them to areas dominated by other grasses, exploring the diversity of plant life in these ecosystems.

Along the way, we’ll highlight the importance of native plants in supporting pollinators, wildlife, and healthy soils. You’ll also learn how our Invasive Plant Program works to support these resilient grasslands and the role volunteers play in protecting and enhancing these special areas.

The hike will be about 3 km in length on a mix of trails and uneven terrain.

Please wear proper footwear and be prepared to be outside for the duration of the hike.

This hike is geared towards adults. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
