Grants for nature recovery | Rewilding updates from Sharpham
About this Event
Open to all - DRN members and non-members
About this event
There are 4 routes through which South Devon National Landscape is working to increase wild spaces and each offers grants. Come and hear directly from Sam (SDNL) how they work: Life on the Edge, 30×30, Wildlife rich habitat fund and Farming in Protect Landscapes (FiPL) - we'll cut through the jargon, hear about how to make your project sing and signpost you to the grants.
It promises to be an excellent day at Lower Sharpham Farm hosted by Ambios and you are warmly invited to a 'pay-what-you-can' lunch with members of the local community.
After lunch we'll take a walk to the 50 acres of rewilding that has been under the stewardship of Ambios since 2020. Wildlife areas that form the learning environment for trainees on Ambios residential nature recovery training programmes.
The land is part of an 18th-century parkland landscape with extensive public access and broad-ranging stakeholder interest, providing a unique opportunity to share rewilding with a large and diverse audience.
For more information on Ambios and our rewilding project visit their website
Please bring suitable clothing and appropriate footwear (walking boots or wellies if wet weather).
Facilities
There is parking available on-site at Lower Sharpham Farm. Toilet facilities will be available at the start and end of the walk. Refreshments (tea and cake) will be provided.

Follow the private track all the way down to the bottom (0.7 miles) don’t take any right turns. At the building (Linhay) turn right and pull into the lower yard. Park here, in the small car park.
