About Our Sponsor:
2026 Garden Tea Festival is sponsored by Zheng Shan Tang, the leading Chinese tea company with headquaters in Fujian province, China.
Black tea originated in China. In 1568, the ancestors of the Jiang family of Zheng Shan Tang created Lapsang Souchong, which is honored as the originator of black tea worldwide.
Jiang Yuanxun, the 24th-generation inheritor, is the founder of Zheng Shan Tang Tea Company. In 2005, he led a team to develop Jin Jun Mei, the most famous black tea, drawing upon more than 400 years of tea culture and craftsmanship, thereby pioneering China’s high-end black tea market.
The company is located in Tongmu Village, within the core area of the Wuyi Mountain National Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Lapsang Souchong.
Zheng Shan Tang has grown into a leading enterprise in China’s black tea industry, producing some of the highest-quality black teas and earning wide recognition from both consumers and industry professionals.
