About the Movie: Join us for a special screening of Dangal.
Dangal tells the inspiring true story of Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former wrestler who trains his daughters, Geeta and Babita, to become world-class wrestlers in a sport traditionally dominated by men. It’s a story of determination, family bonds, and breaking barriers showing how courage and hard work can overcome societal expectations.
Tickets are just $5, and your admission includes chai, samosas, and popcorn. Come for the movie, stay for the snacks, and enjoy a fun evening with friends!
Important: Registration in advance is required so we can plan snacks accordingly.

The movie will start at 7:00 PM sharp. Please arrive 5 minutes early to choose a seat, socialize, and grab some snacks. Tickets are $5 (+ Eventbrite fee, or $5 at the Gordon Neighbourhood House reception desk) and include popcorn, fresh chai, and a samosa. Please register in advance on Eventbrite.

Accessibility Details:
- This event will take place in Room 1 at Gordon Neighbourhood House (GNH), located in the centre of the West End at 1019 Broughton Street. Capacity is limited to 45 people.
- The West End is served by the Robson #5 and Davie #6 bus routes. The closest bus stop is 290 metres (3.5 blocks) from the event location.
- GNH is an accessible building, and all mobility devices and service/support animals are welcome.

- Snacks and light refreshments will be available.
- Gender-neutral and single-stall bathrooms will be available.
