Fusion Connection presents back to back beginner and intermediate Fusion partner dance workshops!Fusion partner dance is a dance form without borders. Fusion has no predetermined steps or patterns unlike every other partner dance out there. It's where partner dance is stripped down to the most essential parts, and rebuilt in a new way every dance. This is where all partner dance styles meet!
~ Come solo or with partner!
~ The class will rotate partners. (You may opt out.)
~ Bring comfortable supportive shoes that have minimal tread, or hard bottoms.
~ Water bottle, drinking fountains are located outside the dance studio.
The beginner workshop is for you if: you've never done partner dancing before, or have limited experience. It's also for those with a background in another partner dance form who want to experience the melting pot of Fusion dance. It's for experienced dancers who want to switch their usual lead/follow dance role up and learn the other side.
The intermediate workshop is for: dancers with some experience in partner dance. It's also for people who felt confident in the beginner workshop and would like to keep learning.

*Lead/follow roles
*Dancing to the rhythm of the music

*Creating turns
*How to frame your body
*Introduction to sharing weight with their dance partner in preparation for lifts and dips.

Your Instructors:
Anna Durga is a long time Fusion dancer and has taught Fusion classes in Nevada County for years. She was a featured instructor at the local Harvest Fusion event. Anna owns Durga Method, a bodywork and body movement holistic health practice.

Alex Coffman has been instructing somatic movement for most of his life. From swimming lessons, to Qi-Gong, Yoga classes and dance classes. He is cohost of Fusion Connection. He brings forth his years in practice as a West Coast Swing and Fusion dancer to his classes.
