About this Event
presents Yoga & Mixtapes for a special lululemon Friendsgiving yoga event. Step into the world of, a Funky Door class that merges the discipline of hot yoga with all the vibes of a live DJ set. Led by Ry Toast, a yoga teacher with over two decades of experience and a seasoned DJ, this class redefines the traditional yoga session. It’s an innovative way to practice, where each class promises a unique journey, blending the intensity of Bikram yoga with a custom track!
The featured mixtape: Get ready for an epic Friendsgiving yoga flow with a Michael vs. Prince playlist! DJ Ry Toast will spin the legendary hits of these two icons, setting the perfect vibe for an unforgettable hot yoga experience. Come for the sweat, stay for the music! It’s a vibrant, high-energy hour where the heat of Bikram yoga meets the pulse of carefully curated music. You'll stretch, sweat, and move to the rhythm. It’s the perfect blend of serious yoga practice and serious fun.How should I prepare for my first hot yoga session?
Dress as if you were going to the beach! Avoid baggy T-shirts and pants. Light, fitted exercise clothing work fine. We like to be barefoot! Avoid eating at least 2-3 hours before class. Our classes are always best practiced on an empty stomach. Some people however need to have a little something in their belly (such as a piece of fruit or an energy bar).
You’ll soon work out what works for you and what your body needs.
Mats and Towels are provided as a courtesy for the event. You may also bring your own Mat and Towel if you prefer. Bring an extra towel if you wish to use the showers after.
Be well-hydrated! Drink lots of water before coming to class. We should be drinking 2 litres a day anyway but, on the days you workout, you should drink 3-4 litres!
Come with an open mind. Be ready to laugh a little, maybe cry a bit, and to sweat a lot!
Studio is located at 1336 Polk St. (Polk & Pine). There is metered parking in the neighborhood and there is also a large parking garage located around the corner of Polk and Bush St. (rates may vary).
