Fresh K*ll (1994)

Shu Lea Cheang’s Fresh K*ll (1994) is a surreal blend of science fiction, queer cinema, and political critique. Set in a near-future polluted and corporate-controlled New York, the film follows a lesbian couple as they confront environmental destruction, overconsumption, and other forces threatening their family. The film’s bold style and strong ideas definitely make it a fascinating watch.
