Milonga (2023)

Milonga introduces us to Rosa, a woman who is learning to live again after the passing of her husband and the imprisonment of her son. Rosa's past is well hidden, and we have no choice but to assemble this puzzle throughout the film. It soon becomes clear that Rosa was trapped in an abusive relationship she was not capable of leaving. We don’t often get to hear the voice of the women who stayed, nor of the children who had to bear witness.
