As Canada strengthens trade and security ties with China, it becomes crucial to understand the nature of our new partner and its history.
About this Event

In 2025, an exchange between Russia’s Vladimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping was captured on a hot mic discussing increasing longevity and living to 150 years through repeated organ transplants. Few people understood what implications it has to transplant ethics.

State Organs: Unmasking Transplant Abuse in China follows the deeply personal journey of two families searching for their missing family members. Along the way, they uncover a harrowing government-run organ harvesting operation that is destroying the lives of thousands of innocent victims, which still occurs to this day.

Following the documentary screening, author and journalist, Jan Jekielek, will join us for an in-person Q&A. His New York Times best-selling book, Killed to Order, distills decades of investigations from reputable sources on forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in China.

This event will broaden knowledge on an extensively documented, yet insufficiently publicized topic that reveals the nature of China's Communist regime, and informs us on the potential consequences misunderstanding Canada’s new partner poses.
