MYCC is kicking off our new Aerial Yoga Program with a FREE 2-hour workshop for those who are interested in learning the basic movements and techniques of aerial yoga, and to build confidence in a slow-paced environment with others and trained instructors. This is a great way to make sure you are prepared for a regular aerial yoga class at MY YOGA Community Center.
During this workshop you will practice with the aerial hammock apparatus to learn how it can support and resist the body's movement to provide a supported stretching and posture experience. You will also practice the basics of entering and exiting the aerial hammock and learn to be comfortable suspended from the ceiling. Finally, you will practice the basics of inversion in the aerial hammock to experience the benefits of extended inversion postures supported by the aerial yoga hammock.
Wear close fitting clothing and bring a yoga mat, or you can borrow a studio mat while you're here.
