FREE 4 mile linear walk exploring Shakespeare in London
About this Event
Sometime between 1585 and 1592, Shakespeare began a successful career in London as an actor, writer, and part-owner of a playing company called the Lord Chamberlain's Men, later known as the King's Men. At age 49 (around 1613), he appears to have retired to Stratford, where he died three years later.
We'll start the walk at St Leonard's Church in Shoreditch and walk through the City of London and cross the Thames near Blackfriars tracing some of the best known sites of the renowned playwright.
After the walk I'll be having a post-walk beer in a local pub and all who fancy it are welcome to join me.
