About this Event

On this guided walk, join London Wildlife Trust staff as we take you on a tour of the newly redesigned gardens. You’ll find out about the fascinating history of the square over hundreds of years, from 18th century social hotspot, to wartime centre of operations, through to its present-day redesign as a biodiverse space for both people and nature.

We’ll also keep an eye out for wildlife in the gardens, seeing what we can find living in the new wetlands, or amongst the many trees and plants on site.

This is a gentle walk around the gardens on footpaths, and the terrain is generally flat. The walk will last approximately 1 hour and will be fully outdoors, so dress for the weather! Please bring some water and binoculars if you have them.

Meeting point: The Wheatsheaf Building
