𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗲: From filmmaker Frank Henenlotter, best known for cult horror-comedies like Brain Damage and Basket Case, FRANKENHOOKER is an outrageous early-’90s creature feature steeped in the gleefully transgressive spirit of John Waters. The film follows a junior mad scientist who attempts to reanimate his deceased girlfriend using appendages sourced from the seedier corners of NYC. Equal parts grotesque and hilarious, this instant cult classic has since been embraced within queer horror cinema for its camp sensibility and themes of bodily autonomy. A true crowd-pleaser best experienced with an audience!
