Join Body Positive Works and Alumni in Recovery for a deeply nourishing meditation experience designed to support those on their 12-Step journey. Led by experienced meditation guide Mark Van Buren, this workshop offers tools for cultivating mindfulness, managing stress, and finding greater peace within.
What to Expect
This guided meditation will weave together the wisdom of the 12 Steps with gentle yet powerful mindfulness techniques. Whether you're new to meditation or have an established practice, this workshop provides a welcoming and supportive space to:

- Mark Van Buren: With over fifteen years of experience in the field, Mark Van Buren is a highly respected Mental Fitness Trainer, renowned for his expertise in meditation and mindfulness-based training. Whether you’re seeking stress reduction, anxiety relief, pain management, or a transformative shift in your overall well-being, Mark offers practical and accessible guidance that can positively impact every aspect of your life.
- Body Positive Works: Body Positive Works is a center for integrative mental health and wellness, offering a diverse range of therapies and practices to support individuals on their unique journeys. We are proud to collaborate with Alumni in Recovery to provide specialized resources and a welcoming space for those in recovery.
- Alumni in Recovery: Alumni in Recovery (AinR™) is dedicated to raising awareness, fostering hope, and providing resources to support individuals and families impacted by addiction. Their dedicated team, comprised of young adults in recovery and supportive parents, is passionate about ending the stigma surrounding substance use disorder.
Alumni in Recovery members generously volunteer their time to share their personal stories of struggle and triumph, offering hope and inspiration to those seeking recovery and their loved ones.
