About this Event

Looking for a way to get your kids involved with serving our natural world? Fox Haven is teaming up with Mini Changemakers this summer to offer hands-on volunteering activities for families with kids of all ages.

In July, help us build an insect hotel for the pollinators essential to a thriving farm ecosystem. After starting with a story, we’ll gather sticks and natural materials to build an insect hotel that will provide habitat for beneficial garden helpers. Children will learn about the role of pollinators on our farm and how we can help them by providing shelter alongside food and water. This session will be facilitated by the Mini Changemakers team and a friend Fox Haven, Mike Spurrier.

These programs are designed for caregivers and children to participate in together. We welcome children of all ages, with programming specifically designed for ages 3 through early elementary. Registration is free, but required to attend. Caregivers must be present with their children at all times.

Feel free to bring a picnic to enjoy additional time outdoors on the farm after we finish our service project!
