Fabric of home - series of 4 workshops(Westminster Residents only)
About this Event
The theme of the four workshops will be ‘Fabric of Home’ exploring what “home” means to the participants — through colour, texture, pattern and personal story.
All four sessions will use different aspects related to the idea of what home means them to create compositions and pieces. Participants will use text, motifs, stencil cutouts, fabric layering to express their idea of what it constitutes for them!
The participants will learn three different techniques while working with textile and thread.
Each week introduces a new textile technique. In the final session, they could combine or revisit methods to create their own unique finished piece.
