Exploring support for LGBTQIA+ Leaders
About this Event
Exploring support for LGBTQ+ Leaders
This initial session, following Pride Month, is designed to create a safe, inclusive and empowering space for VCSE leaders of the LGBTQ+ community to come together, share lived experiences and explore the barriers that can impact health, wellbeing and connection within communities.
Through open discussion, peer-to-peer conversations and personal storytelling, the session aims to encourage meaningful dialogue, amplify voices and help identify both the challenges and opportunities faced by LGBTQ+ leaders in our communities beyond the annual Pride month.
By creating a supportive environment centered around shared experiences, the event will foster connection, understanding and empowerment, while helping to strengthen community relationships and inspire positive change.
“Creating spaces where people feel heard, valued and understood is incredibly important. This session is about bringing people together through shared experiences, encouraging honest conversations around the barriers facing leaders within health and community settings, and empowering leaders within the LGBTQ+ community to share their stories, support one another and help shape positive change.”
