It's back! Celebrate the coming of Spring with us, The Creators of Sound Temple & Dark Yoga.
🌀DARK YOGA is an experience with giant gongs, drones, singing bowls & breathwork, and sensory deprivation We will approach these ideas through the lens of yoga, breathwork & embodied movement, primal drumming & music
-Slow yoga and yin as at the gong bath cocoons us.
-Release techniques. Live drums for release techniques & intuitive movement
-Guided transcendental & balancing breathwork.
- Conscious movement moon salutations and somatic flow that feels like dance.
-a soundscape that will bring you deeper.
Our practice will be about progressive darkness in balance with the light in our hearts.
This will be literal, as the room will become darker and darker and we will be using blindfolds to go even deeper into sensory deprivation, to heighten our other senses to feel into light, vibration, healing. And it will be figurative, as you are guided on your own creative journey aided by the soundscape and the use of an optional blindfold to go deeper.
We will start slow with stretchy slow yin yoga.
We will then slide into your heart beats and breath. A guided breathwork concert with drums and gongs. We will RISE and allow our bodies to flow and release pent up emotions and heartfelt sensation into moment of ecstatic flow and dance beats.
We gentles allow our self then to surrender to stillness.
Always a beautiful exit to the edge of the Mississippi River, where our event takes place.

⭐️On the drums Adam Randall, drummer and drum teacher who has been playing with us for years and bringing in his mad skills to bring us deeper into the ceremonial drumming and rhythmic breath.

⚖️ WHY: Connecting to the darkness, while co-regulating in community and remaining open can be incredibly healing. ...welcoming all the darkness & shadows has to teach is a very powerful skill to harness your full life-force & potential. Our knee jerk reaction is to turn on a light, to flee the darkness, to 'fix' any sense of discomfort we experience, But what if we sit into it, move and breath and slowly dance our bodies into exploring and precessing emotional states.
Instead of asking yourself what can we do to be better, what if we sit with how it is, exactly as it is now?!?!
