We’re thrilled to announce the return of our Electronics Symposium Weekender, following the success of our maiden event! This year, we’ve curated a jam-packed program that promises to inspire and educate.

We strive to keep Electronics Symposium accessible and affordable for everyone while ensuring fair compensation for the talented artists who collaborate with us. Our events are created by neurodiverse and queer artists and crew, and we make it a priority to pay everyone involved. We don’t make any profit from these events, so when purchasing a ticket, we ask that you consider both your financial situation and the time, energy, and care that goes into making our events special.

For carers and support workers, tickets are free with no questions asked, just email us your name and who you are supporting at the event and we will add it to the door. If none of our pricing options suit your needs, we have some guest list specifically for people unable to afford a ticket. Just email us at [email protected], and we’ll provide assistance—no personal information is required; simply let us know how we can help.
Ticket System:
Bassline Tickets: £6 per night or £10 for both nights *
Just as the bassline serves as the fundamental heartbeat of an electronic track, these tickets offer support for individuals with lower incomes. These are designated for individuals receiving Universal Credit or similar benefits, working-class students, and those earning minimum wage. Availability is limited, so please consider your eligibility before purchasing.
Rhythm Tickets: £9 per night or £15 for both nights *
The rhythm keeps the music moving, just like these tickets are the core option for most attendees. They're balanced and accessible. These tickets are designed for individuals with a steady income, including salaried employees, students, and established freelancers. They are for those who may be temporarily short on cash but have savings available.
Amplify Tickets: £15 per night or £25 for both nights *
Amplify represents boosting and enhancing, reflecting how these tickets go beyond standard support, helping uplift the entire event and community. These supporter tickets are intended for individuals who are financial stability and earn enough to comfortably manage their expenses, including rent and bills. If you find yourself in a position of financial comfort, we encourage you to consider purchasing these tickets to support the community.

If you have any accessibility questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our venue includes a ramp, an accessible toilet, a quiet zone, and a trained safety marshal will be available throughout the event (in high viz vest) to ensure your comfort and safety. Build Your Own Spring Thing Noise Box with Farmer Glitch

Time: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Age: 18+ | £35*
Stephen Ives (founder of hackerfarm.net and director of eastvilleproject.org.uk) creates bespoke hand-made instruments/sound machines by hacking and repurposing found objects and utilising redundant media and technologies.Build and take home your own experimental noise-box/instrument – a wooden box allowing improvisational audio experimentation. Farmer Glitch will guide you through the principles of contact-microphones and how they can be used for capturing hidden sounds, as well as design, electronics and circuit-bending.All materials and equipment will be supplied.

Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM | Age: 12+ | FREE
Have you ever noticed the sound a printer motor makes? Well, what if we hacked a bunch of electrical items that make these noises to make a one-of-a-kind instrument? In this session, you will be cutting/glueing/drilling, and wiring up a section of the instrument and at the end of the session we will bring all the bits together to hear its unusual sci-fi sound.Funded by BANDWAGON charity, this workshop is free and is specifically designed for neurodiverse individuals, women, and marginalized genders.
Note: If you are under the age of 16 you must be accompanied by an adult. Caregivers and support workers do not need to book a ticket for the event—only the person participating needs to reserve one. Just let us know upon arrival, and you'll be all set!

Time: 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM | Age: 16+ | £6*
Steve Patterson has been using analogue synths for over 40 years, and is thoroughly analogue to the core! This is a practical workshop in which we will be looking at and playing analogue synths, both modular and non-modular. We will be looking at the basic principles behind them with an eye to unravelling their mysteries. This workshop is great for analogue virgins, beginners and those with a basic knowledge of analogue synths. Be prepared for a voltage controlled mind warp!

Join Farmer Glitch for a show and tell of all his wonderful noise devices, then there's a chance for a group performance at the end!

Time: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Age: 18+ | £25*
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the basics of electronics and sound synthesis while constructing your very own theremin, an iconic instrument known for its eerie, touchless tones. Circuit board wizard Dom Allen will guide you step-by-step through the process, making it fun and accessible, even if you're new to electronics. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a fully functional theremin to take home and experiment with. Perfect for curious minds and music lovers alike!

Amplify SW are passionate about creating inclusive and safe spaces for people to socialise, learn, and express themselves through music. This workshop is designed to empower female, gender minorities, and LGBTQ+ youth, providing a welcoming environment to learn new skills and boost confidence. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your mixing skills, this is a perfect opportunity to grow, learn, and connect with others in a positive environment.Funded by BANDWAGON charity, this workshop is free and specifically designated for neurodiverse individuals, women, and marginalized genders.

Using Logic Pro, you'll create music by sampling sounds from various media and even record your own samples. Perfect for beginners, this session lets you experiment with beat-making, sound design, and Plunderphonics. Leave with the skills to build your own tracks.

Time: 3:35 PM - 4:30 PM | FREE
Jessica will discuss this research, as well as show a video of the application of research to a performance in Carn Euny fogou, to demonstrate that repetitive music of the Minimalist movement performed in these mystical underground structures can elicit a state of altered consciousness, the optimal condition for rituals.

Deep Recovery is an intimate sound art piece that invites listeners to explore the intersection of identity, place, and memory.
Part spell, part trickster, and part document, Deep Recovery captures time spent in West Penwith with a circle of women artists of colour. Through this work, the artist challenges white supremacist and patriarchal narratives surrounding Cornish identity and the natural environment, instead centering the lived experiences and gatherings of women of colour in Cornwall.
Join us for a talk by Artist Libata Sibungu followed by a deep listening session.

SATURDAY 23rd NOV

Gorrangorras is a music partnership formed from the fevered musical imaginations of Tarkus Blackmore and Matt Adkins. Hailing from the West Country, their music draws on a vast array of influences, including Krautrock, Techno, Electronica, EBM, and left-field indie and electronic experimental artists.

stable bound late,

a ladder twunted up outside,

sounds of frolicking within,

a man, short of stature,

skip-play with stallion inside,

twixt sounds of heavy mirth from all .

PLOOD immerses listeners into a trance-like dance state with dynamic, danceable soundscapes that evolve and morph as the performance progresses. Every set is unique and used as a meditative practice for PLOOD, a psychedelic and introspective journey through its ever-changing yet hypnotically repetitive nature. Ambient swells and acid basslines are to be expected, with some bizarre audio samples thrown in to keep the audience on their toes.

Casion is a London-based artist, originally from Belfast, who uses vintage Game Boys to create high-energy 8-bit music. Casion draws influence from early dance music and 1980s videogame soundtracks to blend heavy bass, nostalgic video game sounds, and modern electronic rhythms.

Riley the Serf makes experimental electronic music that draws from industrial, post-punk, and deconstructed club. He has previously released music with Silicone Records and hosts a monthly show on Noods Radio.

SUNDAY 24TH NOV

GHOSTPIPE is the soil-stained manifestation of a sonic exploration through the natural world. This experimental sound-art project delves deep into the organic realm, utilizing mushrooms, stones, and sticks as sound sources. Dense, layered processing morphs these textures into clanking rhythms, petric melodies, and warm, mossy pads.

Finding yourself in the witches’ front room, whilst carrying a conch shell oil lamp. Arriving at dusk. The sun sets over the land, and the full moon rises over the sea. There is a very distinct sense that someone has just been here. Not before, not when this was used as something else. But very recently, just now. There is a slab of concrete carved out of the rock. A tunnel to the side which I could possibly escape through.

Yiskah, the pseudonym of Cornish sound artist Jessica Beechey, creates minimalist and drone-based works that blend field recordings with interactive and generative techniques. Her recent projects investigate the acoustic properties of Cornish fogous—ancient underground structures—exploring their potential role as ritual spaces through both acoustic and acoustemological lenses. Now pursuing a PhD at Falmouth University, Yiskah's research focuses on Cornish heritage, identity, and landscape, aiming to amplify the sonic and political voices of marginalized communities and the natural environment.

The Silver Field is a sound world of Coral Rose Kindred-Boothby. Voice, tapes, bass, samples, synthesis, strings, reeds, drums, small sounds, big sounds, sunlight, moonlight, a lot of water. Using her modular synthesiser and other self-built electronic instruments, she weaves together song-soundscapes, creating a rich and dream-like tapestry of sound that draws from folk music tradition, experimental electronics, and psychedelia.

Karl Phillips presents the long-running This is not a disco show every Saturday evening on Source 96.1 FM with repeats on stations in France and the US. It covers leftfield-leaning, and mostly downtempo, new releases (ambient, experimental, jazz, neo-classical, post-rock as well as a monthly long-form edition) from across the globe.
