Electrical 201 Workshop for Women
• 3- and 4-way switches
• swapping out light fixtures
• installing a ceiling fan
• hardwiring a smoke detectors
Each workshop begins with an introduction to tools and concepts, and you'll go home with plenty of resources to help further your electrical understanding! The goal of this workshop is to build a comfort level with the systems in your own home and to help you make informed decisions when talking with a contractor. All skill levels are encouraged.
Dress appropriately for working around power tools. (Closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, etc.) Class limit is 10 attendees. February classes are held indoors. Our construction classes fill quickly; please register ASAP to avoid disappointment!
SPECIAL SERIES UPDATE: This is our 201 workshop. NOTE: Completion of Electrical 101 IS a PREREQUISITE for Electrical 201.
INSTRUCTORS: This class is taught by industry professionals, and offered through Central Ohio Women in the Trades. COWIT is a nonprofit organization focused on the education, recruitment, and retention of women within the various trade unions around central Ohio.
