About this Event

This course will look at extracts from writers of the past and present and encourage students to create their own stories in the future. Work discussed will be from the capital’s diverse communities. It will explore fiction, non-fiction, poetry and prose, plays and memoir. From famous authors to lesser-known voices emanating from community publishers such as Centerprise in Hackney. Writing from diverse backgrounds such as LGTBQ, ethnic minorities and other communities are embedded in this. Works will be analysed in a discussional group setting. Students will be encouraged to write a piece of your own research and thoughts on the subject.
