About this Event

Draw/Deconstruct/Reassemble: Art Workshop with Duncan Cameron

Join us at Falmouth University on July 3, 2026 at 1:30 PM (BST) for a hands-on art workshop with Duncan Cameron, Head of Art and winner of the John Ruskin Prize 2026. We will draw around the Woodlane Falmouth School of Art campus - where plants meet architecture. Using a range of fast and playful drawing techniques we will aim to capture the buildings in the environment and look closely and dynamically at light and drama. Using tearing, gluing, and re-working we will then resolve the final exploratory outcomes. Suitable for all levels of ability and experience. (Materials provided: Charcoal, graphite, graphite/charcoal powder, chalks, rubbers and PVA glue.)

Duncan is Head of Art at Falmouth University and was awarded the John Ruskin Prize in 2026 for his artwork Stratigraphy. Originally from Norfolk, Duncan recently led the collaborative Basket Shark Project in Falmouth, highlighting the dangers of plastic pollution in marine environments.
