Get your hands dirty and explore what makes soil so important. In this hands-on workshop, participants will take a closer look at the three main types of soil: sand, silt, and clay. They will explore how each type feels and behaves while learning about properties like porosity and permeability and how these impact plant growth.
Participants will also create their own small soil sample to take home and use in their backyard.
This one-hour class is designed for adult learners, but all are welcome. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to explore and learn.
