Daily Sketching and Drawing with Linda Rowell-Kelley

Join artist Linda Rowell-Kelley as she shares her experience, passion and inspiration for sketchbook journaling and daily sketching. Linda will guide students through techniques and exercises to help them start an ongoing practice of creating through drawing. They will learn to use the blank page and let go of their inner critic. They will learn to draw by seeing without thinking. Participants can bring an art journal or sketchbook of any size and favorite drawing materials–or use the additional materials we will have for you to begin your drawing journey! This workshop is open to Grades 1-8.

About the Artist: A lifelong student of art, Linda paints outside all year because she loves the freedom of being outside experiencing and chasing the changes in light and how it influences nature’s shapes and color. Linda paints the town she lives in, Freeport, and her former home, Mount Desert Island. Linda’s outside painting walks the line between realistic art, impressionism and abstraction.

Daily Sketching and Drawing with Linda Rowell-Kelley will take place on Saturday, February 8, 9:00-11:00AM. Maximum of 10 students per class. Cost is $35 per student.
