Visitors to the Museum Galleries can see hundreds of animal specimens from the Zoology collections on exhibit, but these represent only a small fraction of over 125,000 research specimens held in our vaults. Dr. Randall Mooi, Curator of Zoology, will give a virtual tour of what is in the animal collections, and discuss how the Museum obtained them, and why they are important in conservation initiatives and what roles they play in understanding our natural world, both in scientific research and education.RSVP to attend this FREE event: https://manitobamuseum.ca/event/curator-conversations-the-museum-animal-collections/
Curator Conversations will connect you to the stories that shape our understanding of the natural and cultural world. Don’t miss your chance to engage, ask questions, and see the Manitoba Museum like never before!
