Creating Art with Papier Mache with Sarah Holmberg

TPS is excited to once again present this special class in sculpture. Sarah Holmberg is our local Papier Mache master and specialist in equine sculpture. It is your choice of subject – horses, other animals, flowers, or people.
We will start by making a wire armature- a basic skill for sculpture. Sarah’s sculpture technique requires adding successive layers of paper mache to build the form and refine the surface. We will finish our artwork with acrylic paint and decorate the base. Bring your ideas!
All materials, supplies included.
Students can enter the gallery through the front door and go down the stairs. If stairs are a concern, you may park behind the restaurant and enter from the lower back level. If the lower level door is locked, please knock loudly or call 828-859-0141 so someone can come and let you in.
