Often incorporating automatic drawing, printmaking, collage, and found objects, Morrison creates paintings that are rhythmic, dense, and deeply influenced by the artists and musicians who inspire him. His figurative works nod to Picasso, Willem de Kooning, and Romare Bearden, while mixing abstraction and accident with gestural elements that echo Pollock’s action painting and the raw energy of graffiti.
