Fresh from the Art Deco capital of the world, Napier, body-painting power couple Cherie Meerlo and Cherry Boomb! of Meerlo Creations arrive ready to dazzle and delight.
Known for rocking the boat and occasionally raising eyebrows by strolling the streets of Napier’s famous Art Deco Festival in spectacular full body-painted creations, this playful and talented duo now bring their artistry to KiwiKinksters Capital Weekend.
In this fun, friendly and hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of body painting while creating your very own wearable body art design.
Working with guidance from expert art teacher and professional body artist Cherie Meerlo, you’ll paint a torso body art piece designed to celebrate the body as a canvas. Whether your style is bold, sensual, theatrical, or playful, this workshop is an opportunity to explore creativity, connection, and self-expression.
You’re welcome to arrive with a design idea, or let inspiration emerge in the moment. Feel free to bring accessories, harnesses, jewellery, or costume pieces to complete your look.
This workshop is welcoming to all body types, genders, and experience levels. You don’t need any art skills — just curiosity and a sense of adventure.
You don’t need to be attending the Capital Fetish Ball to join the workshop — but if you are, you’ll have the option of wearing your freshly created body art masterpiece to the Ball later that evening for a truly unforgettable entrance.
This experience is perfect for couples, friends, or solo participants looking to try something playful and creative together.
Professional photography will be available for those who would like to capture their body art creation.
