About this Event
Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare is proud to host a series of Stigma Reduction Workshops in partnership with UR Medicine Recovery Center of Excellence, focused on addressing one of the biggest barriers to mental health, substance use, and seeking care.
This is not an academic workshop about stigma. It is a conversation for participants to explore stigma, how we support people with substance use disorder (SUD) and their families, and how we work together in our communities to reduce stigma. We use video interviews of people with lived experience to facilitate discussion, making it very interactive.
The event will be held in Room 44, located on the Lower Level (LL), accessible via the elevator. As we’re located in downtown Jacksonville, parking is somewhat limited and not free. There is metered street parking available, as well as paid parking lots nearby.
