About this Event

Join Aram Han Sifuentes to learn a variety of art skills, including fabric painting, applique, embellishment and use fabric marking pens, sumi ink, fabric and stitching to create a work of art that expresses you and what you hope for as an immigrant or citizen of the United States.

The artist will provide guidance in planning and creating your NongGi in this free art workshop. Participants can work with a partner, small group or individually. No art experience is necessary and all supplies are provided.

This art workshop is free and open to the public. RSVP is required as space is limited.

This workshop is part of a larger project with the HANA Center in Chicago. The HANA Center's Citizenship for All framework approaches immigrants as whole people who need dignity as full members of our society and need a pathway to U.S. citizenship, but also access to quality healthcare, housing, education, and other support and protection for them to live to their potential.

This program is presented in partnership with The Wing Luke Museum of the Asian American Experience and supported by The Seattle Public Library Foundation.
