Great for beginners and fiber-fanatics alike!
I’ve been making my own highly textural Pom Pom sculptures and immersive installations for a while now, and love sharing the process every winter with Snowball Pom Pom Garlands. Now I’m opening up the studio and my huge stash of reclaimed fibers and yarns, so we can make wildly colorful and textural Pom Pom Garlands and Wall Hangings.
Let’s step away from “pretty” or “cute” or “matchy-matchy” and instead go for some electric, sexy color combinations by experimenting with bold and unusual colors and textures you might not think go together, but create quite a buzz when they do!
Let’s be bold and original and unique! Try something different and take some risks with our explorations of reclaimed materials and yarn.
I’ll teach you a variety of patterns you can actually make on a Pom Pom like color blocking, checker, floral, nebula, confetti, polka dots. Cutting open Pom Poms gives you a little hit of dopamine, like opening a present! And folks usually gasp the first time!
We’ll be crocheting basic chains from t-shirt yarn (don’t worry, I’ll teach you!) and making big tassels to go with our Poms. You can make a garland or a wall hanging in several different ways.
It’s a big messy party, and you’re invited! Sure, you can make poms on your own, but come have access to my huge stash of materials, and I clean up all the mess so it’s not in your house!

Class Minimum: Classes need 5 people minimum to run. So spread the word to friends! I'll let you know about a week before class if it is likely to be canceled or not, and a refund will be issued. If you want to have your class run, you need to invite friends along! Once the class has met minimum enrollment, I'll let you know. Don't wait until the last minute to register.
AGE/ABILITY: Great for beginners to fiber arts, but does require pulling and wrapping very very tightly, which may irritate hands dealing with arthritis or other injury. For adult learners, and children 13 and up who attend with a registered adult. 16 and up may attend alone

Due to class minimums, I do not offer refunds, unless you have Covid-related health issues. If you are sick with Covid-related symptoms, please do not attend, and notify my ASAP so I can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist. I can offer to transfer you to any of my available classes, on-line and in-person, if there is no on on the waitlist. Eventbrite no longers allows me to offer credits.

WHEN TO ARRIVE:
Please plan to arrive no later than 11:45am ; in order to find parking, get settled, go to the bathroom, wash hands, and be led to the Garden Studio.
Sadly, we cannot accommodate people who arrive late.
Demos start promptly at the start of class time.Due to the structure of class, demos cannot be re-done for late-comers without cutting things out of class for everyone.
ON-DEMAND WORKSHOPS:
Don’t see a date you can do? Get five friends together and I will schedule a workshop that works for your schedule on most days. Then I’ll promote to fill the class. Have 12 friends? Schedule a private party and get a big discount. Just get in touch to learn more!
Private Parties:
Pom Pom Private Parties are available in my studio — Up to 12 people for 4hrs, for $750. I can also travel to your location with my tools materials, for $800 — within Seattle. Farther distances require additional mileage fee. Off-Site Parties can be held for up to 15 people, with additional fee. Contact me for availability
