Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water….Here comes Chum! The music of Phish occupies a sacred space in so many of our hearts. They’ve been an integral part of our development as music lovers. Very few bands out there even dare to embrace the intricate discipline of executing these songs properly. San Francisco's Chum has earned elite status amongst the Phish community with their rare ability to capture the essence of the band's razor-sharp precision, organic improvisation and playful spirit. From 1.0 to 4.0, they have it all dialed. Even the most jaded vets nod in approval. During their previous appearances at the Crazy Horse Saloon, they’ve left us breathless with their early 90’s-style acumen on double-black diamonds like "It's Ice,” “Foam” and “Reba.” They navigate the gauntlet of "Fluffhead" and venture into the dark, "type-2" jam space of "Carini." They can also surprise you with standout versions of less acclaimed songs like “Mercury,” “Set Your Soul Free” or “Everything’s Right.” Simply put, they can do it all.
This occasion will be especially fun as Phish will have the honor of opening up for Chum. After the live webcast from Mexico, the pressure will be on for Chum to deliver the goods!
