On July 25, 2026, the Gulf Coast music community will come together at The Juke Joint in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, for a benefit concert supporting Michelle Russell as she battles Stage III rare cancer.
Michelle’s life changed in an instant. What began as severe stomach pain quickly became a devastating diagnosis. After undergoing major surgery to remove a 27.5-pound tumor and traveling to MD Anderson seeking answers and hope, Michelle and her family received heartbreaking news. Her cancer is extremely rare, resistant to traditional ovarian cancer treatments, and currently incurable.
Despite the unimaginable reality of being told her life expectancy could be only 2 to 4 years, Michelle continues to fight with incredible courage, strength, and faith. She faces months of aggressive chemotherapy treatments designed to slow the disease and give her more time with the people she loves.
Anyone who knows Michelle knows she has always been the kind of person who takes care of everyone else first. Now, it’s our turn to take care of her.
To help ease the overwhelming financial burden of treatments, travel, medications, and daily living expenses, we are hosting a benefit concert featuring an incredible lineup of Gulf Coast bands donating their time and talent for this cause
