Bring a little Spanish rhythm to your Sunday mornings!
Join Maika for a welcoming five-week course exploring the expressive sound of castanets. Whether you are trying them for the first time or would like to strengthen your foundations, you will receive clear, step-by-step guidance.
We will develop finger technique, clarity of sound, rhythm and coordination, gradually bringing both hands together with greater confidence.
You will also learn castanet toques to accompany Sevillanas and explore arm movements and simple movement sequences, connecting music and movement.
Sundays, 15 November–13 December 2026
10:00–11:00
Danceworks, 16 Balderton Street, London W1K 6TN
£90 for the full five-week course
Teacher: Maika Jimenez Blanco
Please bring your own castanets.
Come and enjoy learning a traditional Spanish instrument in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
Book directly through Danceworks. Selecting “Going” on Facebook does not reserve your course place.
